Theresa & Randy : Family

I was thrilled when Tara contacted me about taking some family photos for her parents.  I went to high school with her (her older brother Robbie was in my class), and she was good friends with my sister.  I don't think I had seen her in over a decade!  It was fun to see the expanded family.  Theresa and Randy were overjoyed to have all of their family in the same city for a couple of days (coming all the way from Colorado and Japan!), so we made the most of their time and braved the cold!  Tara and Paul's little girl Ellorie is 8 months old and adorable!  I can't believe how happy she was throughout the whole shoot... especially after being in the car all day!

Craig, Leah, Caleb, Claire, & Caitlin

One of the reasons I love my job is that I get to meet new people as well as reconnect with others.  I went to college with Leah and Craig (go Wildcats!) back in the day, so I was excited when they asked me to take pictures for them.  It was so fun to see them married (almost 10 years!) with three beautiful kiddos.  We have a lot of common friends and we're at similar stages in life - we should hang out more! :) I was thankful for beautiful weather in the midst of this Kansas craziness.  Caleb is OVER five and a half, so he's practically in charge of the family. :) Claire has the sweetest smile, is two and a half, and rocks being the middle child.  Caleb and Claire are so great with little Caitlin!  She may be nine months old, but she's going on 2 it seems!  She is so close to walking!!

Angela & Kale : 1 year

Not only are Kale and Angela friends of mine, but they happen to be my next door neighbors!  Okay, so we were neighbors first, then friends. :) They celebrated their first wedding anniversary this month.  I absolutely love the idea of taking pictures each year and wish I had done that from the beginning!  Angela had the great idea of taking a picture WITH a picture from their wedding.  What a fun tradition to start!  We had a beautiful evening yesterday and had so much fun!  I love how Kale makes Angela laugh.  Thanks to their silliness (as you'll see) we got some great shots. :)

Jacklyn & Chris

These pictures are LONG overdo!

This summer, while on family vacation in Wisconsin, I saw an amazing spot and just HAD to do a photo shoot there.  I convinced my best friend and her husband to let me take some pictures of them.  They needed updated pictures since their last shoot was in November 2010. :)

Jacklyn and Chris, I love you both so much!  You two are so cute together - I love it.  Thanks for letting me take these... and sorry it's taken me so long to post them!

New Arrival : Abel Lee

Joe's cousin and his wife had their first baby - a boy!  Abel decided to make his appearance in the wee hours of August 25th - Joe's birthday!  Bryson and Dabria, congrats on your beautiful baby boy - here are a few of the pictures I took at the hospital (about 13 hours old :)).

Scotty : 3 months

Harvey and Becky are dear friends of ours.  They went through so much on their journey to becoming parents, so little Harvey Scotty is the biggest blessing of their lives. :) Watching Harvey and Becky with Scotty, I can't help but smile.  They just glow.  This little boy has no idea how blessed he is.

I was so excited to take Scotty's 3-month pictures.  He did great!  He gave me smiles and coos... melted my heart.  Good thing he's so cute... I was able to overlook the father-son display of (enemy) bears love. :)

Rochelle & Zack : Married!

I honestly don't know if I've ever seen a bride as giddy as Rochelle was on her wedding day.  She was SO excited!  Her excitement was contagious, and the joy she and Zack shared overflowed to their wedding party and guests.  It was a happy day, to put it mildly!  I enjoyed how laid back everyone was... and I really enjoyed that my sister was my assistant/second shooter!  Rochelle and Zack, congratulations and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day!  I hope you're enjoying your honeymoon/missions trip!
