New Arrival: Liam Dean!

Lindsay and Brent recently welcomed their first child into the world - a beautiful baby boy!  I was so excited to meet Liam today!  He's adorable - and so tiny!!  He did SO well!  He didn't cry at all, he looked right at me (heart=puddle), and he even refrained from piddling on my blankets. :) I think he likes me!

I was nervous about shooting inside since the weather obviously wasn't condusive to outdoor newborn pics.  Thanks to my sister's mother-in-law for offering her home!  Their house had great lighting and some neat props (including an antique go-kart).  It was perfect! :)

Liam is only 2.5 weeks old, but he would scoot/push himself whenever he was on his tummy!  Then, he held his head up for a few seconds (you'll see below)!  We were all amazed... wondering if he's really supposed to be doing that yet! :)

Lindsay and Brent, congratulations and welcome to parenthood!

Alli, Austin, and Carson

Such a cute family!  Alli has been a family friend over the years and now works with my sister.  She was SO excited to have her family pictures taken! :) It was important to her to get some of their family of three before Austin leaves for boot camp.  So, though yesterday's temperature wasn't going up as much as we had hoped, we decided to give it a whirl.  It was a bit chilly!  Poor Carson got cold and didn't want his picture taken.  I didn't blame him!  We were worried that we didn't get any, but I was pleasantly surprised - hope you are as well, Alli! :)

Jeremy & Sarah

These two are hilarious.  Like make-my-cheeks-and-side-hurt-from-laughing-so-hard hilarious.  They are friends from church and everyone knows them for their bright personalities (and love of all things bright).  You'll see their silliness first hand below...

We had beautiful weather yesterday.  It was hard to believe it was November!  Sarah and Jeremy have 3 kiddos - their adorable dogs, MoJo, Wrigley, and Cubby.  I think I took triple the normal amount of pictures just to capture them! :)

Here are a few of my favorites from yesterday!

Love that Jeremy was willing to do this again for me... the first time was a complete surprise!

A few outtakes... notice Sarah's hand coming up to smack him by the end of the series :)

Don't worry - we got one :)

Holly : Senior

My first sun-flare!

Thanks to my sis for this connection... Holly lives in Emporia and she came down with her mom Mary and sister Samantha in tow just for me to take her senior pictures today!  What an honor!  Holly is delightful; her smile is sweet and genuine.  I was SO thankful we had nice weather!  The wind was a bit chilly at times, but nothing we couldn't handle!  We braved stickers (yes, after my last senior sesh you'd think I would have had enough), broken glass, and wheat in the eye (ha)... Holly and I agreed that it was all worth a good shot. :) As I blurted out at the beginning of this post, Holly is "my first sun-flare" - well, my first good one anyway!  Thanks for being my guinea pig!

It was great to meet you, Holly!  Here are a few of my faves from your session!

Chris & Jacklyn

I can't begin to tell you how dear these two are to me.  Joe and I treasure them and their friendship.  Chris and Jacklyn were sweet enough to let me take pics of them for their Christmas cards in the past, when I was just starting out... and though they weren't awful, well... let's just say I won't be showing you any of those - ha ha.  I'm glad they gave me another shot. :)

We did a little mini-session yesterday.  Though it got a bit chilly at the end, it really wasn't bad for mid-November.  Know that these two have three adorable cats that are part of their family, but they refused to leave the house in this weather. :)

I love you, Chris & Jack!  Here are a few of my faves from your session:

Kaddie : Senior

Kaddaline and her family go to our church, and I was stoked when Kaddie and her mom, Kim, asked me about taking her senior pics!  Between her busy senior schedule and my craziness, today was the day!  Though the wind decided to blow in good 'ol Kansas fashion, we weren't going to let that stop us!  Kaddie was a great sport!  In the midst of hair flying, eyes drying, and stickers poking, we had a blast.  Kim did an awesome job of scouting out some spots, fixing stray hairs, and making Kaddie laugh.  Thanks, you two, for a fun outing!!
