Angela & Kale : 4 years

With the move, I was afraid I wouldn't get to do this session. It had become a tradition! I looked forward to this session every year - and when Angela and Kale (our next door neighbors and dear friends in KS) told us they were coming to visit us in Atlanta, I KNEW we had to make this happen. The timing was perfect, as they had just celebrated their 4-year anniversary. :) Kale was super stoked that I asked them to hike a bit for these photos - he just loves the outdoors. :) We had a beautiful evening and my family tagged along, too! I love taking photos of these two because they constantly make each other laugh - which means I get shots of genuine smiles and true joy. These two were made for each other... some might even say they go together like chips & salsa. ;)

WAPOM 2014

WAPOM stands for Wichita Area Parents Of Multiples. This is the third year I have had the honor of partnering with them to take family portraits. We had some last-minute cancellations, but we still had two families join us! We had a beautiful setting, and it wasn't TOO cold! :) The kids did great - we kept it short and sweet. :)

Aaron, Cassy Sage, Malachi, & Jericho : Family (lifestyle)

I love love love these kind of sessions. I may be a bit biased since this is my beautiful sister and her family... but still. Cassy (I'm trying to work on calling her Sage... I have failed thus far :)) wanted some pictures of their life at home. It was so much fun. Boys wrestling, sword-fighting, jumping off beds, eating ice cream... what their days are normally made of. My nephews are pretty stinking cute, and that's just fact. I love those boys (and their parents). I love how welcoming their home is. I love how they share their lives with others. I just love them. :)

Ryan, Brie, & Boys

Can families have soul mates? If so, this family is my family's soul mate. :) We have journeyed through so much life with them, and we are better for it. Ryan, Brie, Kenan, Micah, and Ryker also happen to make up one of the most beautiful families I know. ;) I was excited to grab some pictures of them while we hung out one night. They have a gorgeous field near their house, and it worked out perfectly. :) It was hot, but the kids did great. I love how Ryan and Brie are so cute and obviously still head over heels in love. :)

Gianna : New Arrival

My best friend had a BABY!!

You may remember Katie and Micah from their maternity session in June (here).  Well... sweet, beautiful, amazing little Giavanni (Gianna) Bentley entered the world on July 22nd, 2013.  Katie and I live a few hours away from each other, so I was SO thankful I got to be at the hospital on her daughter's BIRTHday!  The next time I was able to see Gianna was when she was just shy of 3 weeks old... but it wasn't too late for newborn pics! (I would have insisted on them even if she was 6 months old... but this was much easier, so I'm glad it worked out this way ;)).  Katie and Micah have a beautiful home - perfect setting for a photo shoot!

I have way too many favorites... so it was hard to narrow them down for a sneak peak!  Here goes!

On this one I was testing my light and setup... she wasn't quite where I wanted her yet, but LOOK!  She smiled! :)

Shay's Adoption Party!

My friend Holly is an incredible person.  If you haven't met her, you should.  For over a year, she has been a foster mom to the cutest, sweetest little girl.  Shay has only known Holly as her mom, and Holly is an amazing one.  Last week we got to celebrate Shay and Holly, as Holly is officially adopting her!  I couldn't be happier for them.  Shay, you are so blessed to have Holly as your mom - and I am excited to be a part of your life as you grow up!  Holly - congrats!!
