Omygoodness there is something about little girls! Perhaps it's because my little girl isn't so little anymore... but getting to meet tiny baby Jorja and hold the sweet girl melted my heart. Her mommy, Carrie, is a good friend of mine. We enjoyed being pregnant together and it's so fun to share new-mommy-ness as well. :)
We set up a makeshift studio in the front room of my house... and I think it worked pretty well! Jorja did amazing - slept through most of it, gave me some smiles, and graciously didn't piddle on me when she was in her birthday suit. :)

Brent, Ashley, and Jasper
Brrrrrrrr!!
It was so cold on Saturday morning, but these three were troopers! The forecast had said no wind... but this is Kansas, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that it was cold and WINDY! :)
Brent and Ashley have an adorable son, Jasper, who is almost 2 1/2. They hadn't had family pictures taken in a long time, so I was excited when Ashley contacted me!
I was also excited because this was my first shoot with my new camera!! (Thanks to the hubs for an early Christmas present :))
Thankfully, we did a mini-session (I don't think any of us would have lasted an hour...).

Chris, Ginny, and Emmalyn
Chris and Ginny are very dear friends of mine. You may remember them from their maternity session, or from when their daughter Emmalyn Grace was born. It's hard to believe that Emmalyn is one year old now! My how time flies...
Ginny wanted some family pictures this fall, and I was more than happy to help out! It was a bit chilly, but Emmalyn didn't seem to mind. She kept us busy - she's so adventurous, and so cute! I'm sure you'll agree, this is a beautiful family!!

Liam : 1 year
Can you believe Liam is ONE??
Liam is the first kiddo that I've consistently taken photos of from birth through one year (besides my own of course :)). It has been so fun to watch him grow!! His Daddy (Brent) recently came back home from serving overseas, and it was wonderful to see Liam with him.
Brent's grandparents let us use their property for the shoot. It was perfect! Liam got to hear a real cow moo (right behind us) for the first time, and it suprised him (and us)! He was a bit scared of the cow (who kept following us), but really liked the chickens. Between the cows moo-ing, chickens clucking, and rooster crowing, we had quite the background music for our shoot! :) Liam has become a pro for our little shoots... as you'll see below.
In case you don't remember, I thought I'd take us on a little trip down memory lane...

Seester Belly
I cannot put into words how much I love my sister. I won't go too mushy on ya, but let's just say that there were never such devoted sisters... literally. Is the song in your head now?
Anywho, one of the most precious things I share with my sister is being a mom. We were pregnant together with our first kids (though we didn't overlap much). Malachi was born 5 1/2 months before Avery. They're best friends and it's awesome. This time, we shared almost our entire pregnancies... we were/are less than 8 weeks apart!
I just had my sweet baby BOY (still surprised :)) on October 14th... and my sister is just shy of 35 weeks, but it looks like her boy (Jericho) will come a bit early - yay! I can't wait for our baby boys to grow up together.
Oh yes, pictures! Cassy Sage, Aaron, and Malachi met me at the park to get some maternity pictures before this little guy makes his appearance. I'm honored they chose me... though they're pretty much stuck with me. :)
As soon as we got out of the car, Cassy Sage made a new friend. A squirrel. She even named him... but my mommy brain is blanking on the name. :( We joked that the squirrel wanted to be in our pictures. Guess he heard us, because he stuck around! He came up really close and we have quite a few pictures with our new furry friend in them! Hilarious.
Can you see him??
Now for my favorites from today...
I love you, SEESTER!!
I truly cannot wait to meet Jericho and share yet another thing with you... mothering TWO kids. Let the crazy fun years begin! :)

Maddie : Senior
It had been a while since I'd done a senior session, so I was really looking forward to this shoot! Though Maddie and I hadn't officially met, I felt like we had... we have so many friends in common! I had met her mom and was really excited to take Maddie's pics. I was glad I didn't scare them off by being HUGE pregnant for their shoot. They were patient with me - and even helped me carry equipment!
Maddie, it was a joy taking your pictures and I look forward to taking more in the spring! Have a wonderful senior year!

One more of Mason
It was a tad chilly to do bare-bottom pics on our outdoor shoot, so Courtney, Ryan, and Mason came over to take a few.
Just had to share the cuteness... all 5lbs 13oz of it :)

New Arrival: Mason Ford!
Oh my goodness the cuteness...
Courtney and Ryan recently welcomed their first baby, beautiful boy Mason into the world! I was SO excited when Courtney asked me to take newborn pics for them. First, I hadn't met Mason yet. Second, I am in the snap-count of this pregnancy and was craving some itty bitty baby time. :)
Mason is just 9 days old in these pictures we took last night. He's so tiny! So cute! So sweet... I couldn't get enough.
Here are a few of my favorites - congratulations Ryan and Courtney!

Louella : 3 months
I just love little girls. I know I'm probably partial because I have a daughter... but I tell ya, there's just something about little girls!!
Neely and her husband Kevin had a beautiful baby girl in May - Louella. Now she's 3 months old and I am honored they chose me to shoot their pictures! Neely is the sister of a bride who's wedding I shot last year, so thanks for the connection, Laura! :)
Louella came with so many cute outfits, as well as a handmade cradle that was made for her mommy when she was a baby. :) Throughout the shoot she was so calm and happy! She did amazing! It was really humid, but she took it like a champ. Towards the end she got really sleepy (as you'll see), then cashed out... which made for some a-dor-a-ble pics.
It was really hard to pick favorites from this session... but here are a few! Congrats Neely and Kevin - Louella is beautiful and sweet. :)

Liam : 9 months
I feel like I haven't posted in forever! With summer travels and craziness (as well as the HEAT), I didn't have a shoot for a while. I was so ready to jump back in... and with one of my faves - Liam!
Liam has changed SO much in the last three months! He seems like such a big boy with his crawling and standing and stuff. :) We did a late evening shoot to try to avoid the heat, and he did great! He was happy and curious, which made for some fun pics.
