It's a GIRL!!!!
If you saw my last post, you knew Ginny was nearing the end of her pregnancy. She and her hubby Chris didn't find out during the pregnancy whether they were having a boy or a girl... so delivery day was uber exciting! Bless Ginny's heart, she had a 26, yes TWENTY-SIX hour labor! Early the morning of October 13th, Chris texted me and told me it was time to push, and I sprung into action. I gathered my camera gear, figured out care for Avery, and rushed to the hospital... to wait. :) Ginny pushed for 4 hours, but finally, Emmalyn Grace arrived!! A beautiful girl... who has the most wonderful parents.
I'm blessed to be Chris and Ginny's friend, and honored that I was able to share this experience with them. Ginny asked that I get some pictures of D-day, since she'd be a little busy... so here are some of my favorites. :)
Waiting...
Announcing the big news!
Sharing a picture of Emmalyn getting weighed:
Emmalyn meeting her extended family :)
This mother-daughter moment made me a little emotional... caused me to think back to holding my daughter for the first time.
What a proud daddy :)
The beautiful Emmalyn Grace...
Congrats, Chris and Ginny - I'm so happy for you and I'm excited for our girls to be friends!

The faces of Ginny...
Funny faces, that is. :)
I know I told you in the last post that those were some of my favorites... well, these are the rest! Ginny is going to be such a fun mom, evident in the way she likes to be silly and have fun. More often than not, I would catch her making a silly face at Chris - he couldn't help but laugh... and of course, I would take a picture. Don't let Chris fool you - he didn't hesitate to join in on the silliness - you'll see proof below...!
