Jeff, Trish, & Lily

Jeff is a Packers fan, Trish is a Vikings fan, and Lily is a Falcons fan. (Y'all know I'm with Jeff on this one...) but in spite of their sports differences, this sweet family has such wonderful dynamics. :) I love the way they look at each other! They just moved into a new house (so pretty!) and Trish had the idea for them to wear their Christmas pajama pants for some of their pictures. LOVE. So festive and fun! The porch was the perfect setting (that red door!) and we had beautiful light.

The Claassen Family

What a beautiful family! We had a beautiful day to go along with them. I was so thankful for great weather! Most of these family members live in other states/cities, but they were all together for Thanksgiving. It was the perfect opportunity for family pictures, and I was honored to be a part of their family weekend. :) I know Joy - she coordinated it all and did a wonderful job. This family was so kind and cooperative. It was fun to meet them all!

Adam, Abbe, Dakota, Creyton, & Maggie

This family is so precious. They are so much fun, too! Abbe doesn't know how much of an inspiration and encouragement she has been to me. She has also furnished almost half my house. ;) I was honored to take their pictures! I love how their kids interact and I love how they laugh (hard) together. :) I was afraid it would be cold, but the weather was pretty good! :)

David, Taylor, & Slade

This family is so much fun. I laugh so much during their shoots! I love that they've allowed me to be a part of their journey through life. Marriage, baby, etc. This shoot was a fall shoot that included some hilarious Christmas card pics (those are secret - perhaps I'll post them after Christmas). :) David's parents were generous enough to let us use their house for our shoot (it was SO cold outside) and it is beautiful. The natural light inside was giving me a bit of a photographer-high (is that a thing?). We did take a couple pictures outside - the snow was so pretty! My favorite part of the day was Slade in his Packers jersey!! Go Pack!

New Arrival: Liam Dean!

Lindsay and Brent recently welcomed their first child into the world - a beautiful baby boy!  I was so excited to meet Liam today!  He's adorable - and so tiny!!  He did SO well!  He didn't cry at all, he looked right at me (heart=puddle), and he even refrained from piddling on my blankets. :) I think he likes me!


I was nervous about shooting inside since the weather obviously wasn't condusive to outdoor newborn pics.  Thanks to my sister's mother-in-law for offering her home!  Their house had great lighting and some neat props (including an antique go-kart).  It was perfect! :)


Liam is only 2.5 weeks old, but he would scoot/push himself whenever he was on his tummy!  Then, he held his head up for a few seconds (you'll see below)!  We were all amazed... wondering if he's really supposed to be doing that yet! :)

Wernli Christmas

My sister married into a wonderful family, and they had a fun Christmas celebration - a sleepover, opening presents in their pajamas, and spending the day together. I was excited to stop by and observe the festivities! Though it was yucky outside, we got a few good family pics!
