Lindsay, Liam, & Simon

I have had the privilege and honor of watching Liam grow up through pictures - he's getting so big! Now I'm honored to include Simon in that! It's always fun to see Lindsay, too. ;) We planned this fall session quite a while back... not knowing it would be almost 80 degrees out! The boys did great - it was so cute watching them interact. Simon smiles for Liam in the sweetest way! Both of these boys love their mama... so adorable. We had beautiful colors to shoot around! Liam wanted to wear his leather jacket to match his mom... so precious.

Tim, Denise, & their family

I love this family. My husband does, too. In fact - he was jealous I got to hang out with them to take their pictures. :) Maybe next time I'll send Joe to do the shoot... ;) Denise had taken the time to scout some beautiful spots for us - soooo pretty! I love new locations! Thatcher and Colt are so cute! Thatcher wanted to explore everything. Colt would stop whatever he was doing and smile if you sang "The itsy bitsy spider" (or a variety of other songs). As I was taking a large family photo, two people riding horses went past us! That's a first on a shoot for me! They let the kids pet the horses - SO nice of them! When I was taking a picture of Tim and Denise with their grandsons, the parents were behind me singing and being all sorts of silly to get the kids to look/smile. I had to capture that... :) Overall we had a great shoot - with great weather!

Trevor : Senior

I hadn't done a morning shoot in a long time, but I'm SO glad that's what worked out for Trevor's senior pictures! The light was gorgeous, there was no wind, and the temperature was perfect. Trevor has so many interests and talents. He can play a variety of instruments, loves to read, enjoys learning, and will be going to college to become an engineer. We started at a favorite location of mine, then headed to Trevor's dad's house for the rest. What a great idea! We were able to tie in some sentimental things that represent how much he has grown/changed. There is a willow tree in his dad's back yard that was just a small tree when he was little... then the dock he used to play on... and his childhood treehouse! I don't know if Trevor was as excited as his mom and I were, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Trevor - have a great senior year, and early congrats to you on graduating!

Brenna : 6 months

I know time flies, but wasn't she just born?? It's crazy that her newborn session was 6 months ago... Rochelle and Zack are rocking the whole parenting thing and finding their groove. Brenna is so cute and squishy! :) She is getting good at sitting up by herself (apparently that started just a few days before this session - perfect timing!). Normally Brenna is all smiles, but she missed her morning nap the day of our session and wasn't too happy about it. Not to worry - we met up another day and got a few of her precious happy face. :)

Angela & Kale : 3 years

It's that time of year again! My friends (and neighbors) celebrated 3 years of marriage this month! Since I took their one-year pictures and their two-year pictures, they might have just felt obligated to use me again, but I was honored. ;) I forget how stinking hilarious they are. Kale LOVES having pictures taken (and by loves I mean loathes). Angela is a great sport. My cheeks are hurting by the end of each session with them because I laugh the entire time. Kale braved ants, mosquitoes, and nature in general... and we got some cute shots. :) Angela and Kale, you two are absolutely perfect together and I am thankful for our friendship. Congrats on 3 years! Kale, you get ice cream for behaving pretty well.

Jerry, Rosann, & Family

This shoot felt like a mini-reunion! I have known this family for many years (I won't tell you how many). :) I was so excited when Rosann contacted me and wanted extended family pictures. I hadn't seen her kids (Jaynann and Jeremy) in a long time - and they are each married with two kids! Rosann and Jerry are so proud of their kids and grand kids, and it's evident in their smiles as they interact with their family. It was tricky to get "real" smiles out of the kids at times, but I found that if I made them laugh they would finish their laugh with great smiles (I just had to be ready and quick)! We had a beautiful evening for our shoot and it was great to see everyone.
