Adam, Abbe, Dakota, Creyton, & Maggie

This family is so precious. They are so much fun, too! Abbe doesn't know how much of an inspiration and encouragement she has been to me. She has also furnished almost half my house. ;) I was honored to take their pictures! I love how their kids interact and I love how they laugh (hard) together. :) I was afraid it would be cold, but the weather was pretty good! :)

Andrew, Jenn, & Cole

We may have chosen one of the coldest days for this shoot. It was SO frigid! Jenn hates the cold, but she was such a trooper! Cole was excited to play at the playground - he could have cared less about pictures but we still got some cute ones! :) Andrew and Jenn are so cute - the way they make each other laugh is adorable. We kept our shoot short and sweet (say that five times fast :)), but we were able to get some great shots before jumping into our warm cars. :)

David, Taylor, & Slade

This family is so much fun. I laugh so much during their shoots! I love that they've allowed me to be a part of their journey through life. Marriage, baby, etc. This shoot was a fall shoot that included some hilarious Christmas card pics (those are secret - perhaps I'll post them after Christmas). :) David's parents were generous enough to let us use their house for our shoot (it was SO cold outside) and it is beautiful. The natural light inside was giving me a bit of a photographer-high (is that a thing?). We did take a couple pictures outside - the snow was so pretty! My favorite part of the day was Slade in his Packers jersey!! Go Pack!

Arlee, Maggie, & Girls

We HAD such beautiful weather... right up until this shoot. :( Maggie had booked this date out a while back because it was the only day they would be in town before Christmas (I usually take their pics over Thanksgiving). They live in another state. The day before our shoot Maggie and I were texting and scrambling for an indoor location. Maggie's sister was beyond generous and let us use her house! It was a bit of a drive for me... but that was silver lining because I really enjoyed the quiet car (even listened to some podcasts!). :) The window in their living room allowed light in for a perfect little set up. It was nice to shoot without our teeth chattering! Madelynne and Maylee are so cute - look at their beautiful smiles! :) I'm so thankful it worked out - I always enjoy our yearly "hang out" time. :)

Becky & Scotty

Scotty is getting so big! His smile is absolutely adorable, and I love how Becky (his momma) makes him smile. I am so glad we squeezed our session in before the COLD hit! Brrrr! Becky had an idea that I love - she brought Scotty's bag of "favorite things" as well as his tricycle. What a great way to remember his favorite toys at this age (2.5). :) Scotty liked showing me his favorite things (Thomas, dinosaurs, sunglasses, etc) and had a blast running/rolling around on his bike. :)

Jacob, Kaytlin, Osi, & Chinook

This couple is beautiful - and their dogs are beautiful, too! I looooove dogs, so I was excited when Kaytlin asked if they could bring theirs. :) Osi had the cutest bow tie on and Chinook had a matching flower - adorable! The dogs were really excited about having their pictures taken. ;) They wanted to explore and we were mean and made them hold still. My squeaky giraffe came in super handy - they looked right at me! After a few pictures with the dogs, we did some of just Jacob and Kaytlin. They are newlyweds and so cute. Jacob LOVES having his picture taken (ha ha) - but he was so sweet to comply for Kaytlin. It was fun to meet this cute couple - and their cute dogs. :)

Caleb, Janet, & Mackenzie

Mackenzie just turned two - and boy is she cute!! He beautiful blond hair and bright blue eyes just enhance her big smile! :) I enjoyed meeting Janet and Caleb. They are such sweet parents to their little girl. :) It was a bit chilly, but the light was beautiful... and Mackenzie did great! That is, until I messed things up. :) I was having a hard time getting her to look right at me, so I got out my trusty squeaky giraffe (it's a kid favorite). Mackenzie liked it... too much. :) She wanted to hold it and did not want to let it go. When Janet and Caleb gently took it from her, it was the end of the world! I feel so bad I made her cry. :( Mackenzie was awesome, though - we took a little walk and she calmed right down! She put on her Shockers outfit and we got some great shots! I learned that if I sang to her, she would look at me - perfect! :) We ended up having a wonderful shoot.
