David & Taylor : Married

David and Taylor got hitched!  Taylor was a gorgeous bride - and she was so relaxed!  David's excitement was evident - he couldn't wait to call Taylor his wife.  You may remember David and Taylor (and their furry children) here. As they celebrated their vows, they're celebrating a new addition coming at the end of February - their first baby!!  Taylor's baby bump was absolutely adorable in her dress.  The wedding was in Derby at the Round Barn Ranch - such a beautiful location!!  It was a windy day, but other than that the weather was perfect.  They said their vows as the sun was setting over the fields nearby... and we had amazing light for pictures afterwards.  The barbecue was AH-mazing (yes, Dave, it's the BEST), and with cake and a popcorn/candy bar, everyone's sweet tooth was satisfied.  I don't think there was a dry eye in the barn when Taylor danced with her Papa (me included).  It was an incredible day and two incredible people are now husband and wife.  Congrats Taylor and David!

Tim, Denise, Kids, and Grandkids

I love this family.  For so many reasons.  I spent a decent amount of my high school years at Tim and Denise's house, Kristy and I have shared the best and worst moments of our lives together, and now there are two ADORABLE baby boys in the family.  What more is there to love?

From secret locations to happy (or unhappy ;)) kiddos, we had a great time on our shoot. :) I always laugh when I am with these people and they are some of the best people I know.

Abby, Luke, & Ren

Get ready for the cutest smiles ever... Ren was handing them out left and right!  It was HOT and HUMID, but Ren didn't mind at all!  Abby and Luke were troopers with the heat (hey - it was good for the guitar ;)) and were willing to try anything I asked them to. :) We had fun - and I'm convinced Ren should be a baby model. :)

Colt : New Arrival

It was only a couple of weeks ago that I took Brian and Jessica's maternity pics - and now they are officially a family of THREE! :)

Colt was born on August 20th and I got to meet him at just 10 days old!  He is SO cute!  He has a head full of beautiful dark hair!  Brian and Jessica have eased into parenthood with grace.  They may not agree (ha ha), but watching them with Colt - they are naturals! :)

Jessica had this adorable tiny Shockers onesie for Colt to wear - and he made it look big! :) Once Colt ate and got all cozy, he cashed out and let me mold him however I wanted to!  It was so fun! Oh and you'll notice those boots from the belly session - they had to make a comeback!

Gianna : New Arrival

My best friend had a BABY!!

You may remember Katie and Micah from their maternity session in June (here).  Well... sweet, beautiful, amazing little Giavanni (Gianna) Bentley entered the world on July 22nd, 2013.  Katie and I live a few hours away from each other, so I was SO thankful I got to be at the hospital on her daughter's BIRTHday!  The next time I was able to see Gianna was when she was just shy of 3 weeks old... but it wasn't too late for newborn pics! (I would have insisted on them even if she was 6 months old... but this was much easier, so I'm glad it worked out this way ;)).  Katie and Micah have a beautiful home - perfect setting for a photo shoot!

I have way too many favorites... so it was hard to narrow them down for a sneak peak!  Here goes!

On this one I was testing my light and setup... she wasn't quite where I wanted her yet, but LOOK!  She smiled! :)

Jessica, Brian, and Baby Belly

These two are so cute.  They are so laid back and go with the flow... they joke about being parents, but I know they're going to be incredible.  Their little boy is going to be adored and loved - and well-dressed to boot!  Literally... he already has the most adorable boots.  Jessica couldn't resist - and I don't blame her!
We made it through our whole shoot without any rain - which is saying a lot considering how our weather has been lately!  It was a bit soupy, but not too bad.  Oh and thankfully Brian was there to trim branches and scare away birds. :)

Congratulations you two - I can't wait to meet your little boy!

Shay's Adoption Party!

My friend Holly is an incredible person.  If you haven't met her, you should.  For over a year, she has been a foster mom to the cutest, sweetest little girl.  Shay has only known Holly as her mom, and Holly is an amazing one.  Last week we got to celebrate Shay and Holly, as Holly is officially adopting her!  I couldn't be happier for them.  Shay, you are so blessed to have Holly as your mom - and I am excited to be a part of your life as you grow up!  Holly - congrats!!
