Sarah : Bridal (ish)

Sarah and I have a fun story. We went to high school together (where we were not really in the same "crowd"), but really hadn't talked or seen each other since. Now, thanks to It Works (www.skillenitworks.com) we have reconnected and are friends! :) Sarah was married about 7 years ago, but unfortunately she only has one portrait of just her in her wedding dress! Since then she has had three kids - but has lost all her baby weight (and more) thanks to the help of It Works! She had such a fun idea - she got her hair done, bought a bouquet, and donned her wedding dress for a mini-session with me! Even though it was hot and humid, the light was beautiful - and so was Sarah! It was fun to see people's faces as they congratulated her and she cracked up. We had a blast - and Sarah was a stunning bride (ish)! :)

Patti, Abbi, Alli, and Family

It was SO hot and humid... but this family is full of troopers! They didn't complain once during the shoot. :) The kids did great, too! You can see the pride on Patti's face - she loves her family! Her daughters (Abbi and Alli) had their families with them, too. Let's see if I get these all right... Alli, Austin, Carson, and Tatum.... then Abbi, Rich, Austin, Sydni, and Madison. :)

Aaron, Cassy Sage, Malachi, & Jericho : Family (lifestyle)

I love love love these kind of sessions. I may be a bit biased since this is my beautiful sister and her family... but still. Cassy (I'm trying to work on calling her Sage... I have failed thus far :)) wanted some pictures of their life at home. It was so much fun. Boys wrestling, sword-fighting, jumping off beds, eating ice cream... what their days are normally made of. My nephews are pretty stinking cute, and that's just fact. I love those boys (and their parents). I love how welcoming their home is. I love how they share their lives with others. I just love them. :)

Jeff, Jodie, & Kids

These kids are super cute... and they looked at the camera! :) Jeff and Jodie were in town briefly and scheduled a mini-session while they were here. I was SO thankful it didn't rain on us since it would have been near impossible to reschedule. It was chilly, but the kids did great - and we had a great time! The colors in the grass and trees are JUST starting to turn for the fall, and it made for a great backdrop. :)

Ryan, Brie, & Boys

Can families have soul mates? If so, this family is my family's soul mate. :) We have journeyed through so much life with them, and we are better for it. Ryan, Brie, Kenan, Micah, and Ryker also happen to make up one of the most beautiful families I know. ;) I was excited to grab some pictures of them while we hung out one night. They have a gorgeous field near their house, and it worked out perfectly. :) It was hot, but the kids did great. I love how Ryan and Brie are so cute and obviously still head over heels in love. :)

It was super hard to narrow these down to my favorites... but here are a few:

Adam, Becky, & Kids

This family is so dear to me and to my family. They are incredibly beautiful, both inside and out. They were in town so we got together for dinner, and I grabbed a few pictures of them while we were at it. It poured on us right when we started, but thankfully just for a minute. Then it cleared up and we had some pretty light. :)

Tyson, Valerie, Bridget, Grayson, Lana, & Stella

This family is so fun! They are super adorable, too. Valerie asked me to take family pictures for them - in between Bridget returning from Paris (!!) and leaving for college (!). I love that she wanted captured memories of their family before sending her daughter off to college. :) We had fun - they were all great in the midst of the heat. Congrats and good luck to Bridget AND her family! :)
