Kasey : Senior

Today I had to keep telling myself that it's still March.  Seriously, it was 80 degrees today!  It ended up being the perfect day for Kasey's senior pics.  Kasey is a football player at Rose Hill High and they won state this year (yay!) so we headed to his home turf to start our session.

Kasey (and mom Sheri) willingly walked what seemed like miles to get the shots we wanted.  He wanted me to think that he's serious all the time... I'm sure his friends would tell me different. :) Thankfully mom knew what buttons to push to get some smiles!

Kasey, it was great meeting you!  Early congrats on graduation and good luck as you enter the next phase of life - COLLEGE! :)

Rochelle & Zack : Engaged!

Oh my goodness today was beautiful!!  It was a perfect day to take engagement pictures of a beautiful couple - Rochelle and Zack.  These two were so cute - they're so in love and you can tell they're meant to be together.  They are both super tall, so I had to adjust my posing just to see their faces at times - ha ha.  My cheeks hurt after our session from smiling with them!

Rochelle and Zack will be getting married this summer - congrats you two!!

Micah : 1 year

I love my friend Michele.  For so many reasons... the latest of which is that she was willing to do a playdate SLASH mini photo session today.  The craziness of our two little girls, my four-month old boy, and her one-year old boy was super conducive to a photo session.  Ha.  Regardless, we got a few shots... and Micah bear, you are way too cute.  I love Chele's idea of him "growing up" in a tie.  Cute.

Adam, Meagan, and Baby

My sister Cassy Sage is married to a guy named Aaron who has a brother named Adam who is married to a girl named Meagan and they're having a BABY!!!!

Adam and Meagan live out of town, but came in town this weekend for a baby shower.  I was honored when they asked me to take some maternity pictures!  The weather has been so mild - and when I saw a high of 56 I was thrilled.  Well, let's just say that 56 dropped really quick Friday afternoon and the wind picked up like crazy!!  Adam and Meagan were troopers.  We hiked quite a bit, shivered, and smiled - Meagan still glowed even though it was cold. ;)

I cannot wait to meet their baby boy - I'm so excited for them to become parents!  That boy is blessed.

New Arrival : Jericho Mark

So... my sister and I both had babies.  Baby boys.  Seven weeks apart.

I completely and totally love it.  Love her, love our boys, love sharing this.

Because of this incredibly wonderful chaos that is our lives... I'm behind on posting.

Sigh...

Jericho Mark was born on December 4th in the wee hours of the morning.  My sister was amazing.

We did an official newborn shoot a couple of weeks later... and I totally blanked on posting about it (new mommy brain... does it ever get better??). :)

Welcome to the world, Jericho!!

New Arrival : Jorja Leigh

Omygoodness there is something about little girls!  Perhaps it's because my little girl isn't so little anymore... but getting to meet tiny baby Jorja and hold the sweet girl melted my heart.  Her mommy, Carrie, is a good friend of mine.  We enjoyed being pregnant together and it's so fun to share new-mommy-ness as well. :)

We set up a makeshift studio in the front room of my house... and I think it worked pretty well!  Jorja did amazing - slept through most of it, gave me some smiles, and graciously didn't piddle on me when she was in her birthday suit. :)

Brent, Ashley, and Jasper

Brrrrrrrr!!

It was so cold on Saturday morning, but these three were troopers!  The forecast had said no wind... but this is Kansas, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that it was cold and WINDY! :)

Brent and Ashley have an adorable son, Jasper, who is almost 2 1/2.  They hadn't had family pictures taken in a long time, so I was excited when Ashley contacted me!

I was also excited because this was my first shoot with my new camera!! (Thanks to the hubs for an early Christmas present :))

Thankfully, we did a mini-session (I don't think any of us would have lasted an hour...).
